The Industrial Design Society of America’s Boston chapter now uses Hicks-Gibbon Industries’ Wordpress master template with a custom theme. The site will go live within the week, and it is possible that other IDSA chapter sites may follow. We’re very excited about the opportunity to serve the IDSA in this way.

Hicks-Gibbon is in the process of creating a Wordpress theme framework designed to make custom Wordpress pages incredibly easy to set up and use, particularly for start-up companies and non-profit organizations. Our goal will be to create a system that can be easily implemented and deployed for use by such organizations, at minimal cost and to maximal benefit. Consequently, we’ll soon be making some changes to our site, including a new front page that will emphasize the dual nature of our business; greeting cards, and web design.

We’re looking for the rockinest sales reps around to help us peddle our wares to the retail world at large. Linesheets available in PDF form, and digitally-pressed card samples are available on request.

On a lovely trip to NYC for the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, the more red-haired half of HG stumbled across a wonderful surprise that is the National Stationery Show. Besides gleaning valuable information about the greeting card industry, we’re excited at the prospect of obtaining a booth to wow and impress the world’s finest card afficianados.
